HONG KONG ENTREPRENEURSHIP COMPETITION
THE HONG KONG ENTREPRENEURSHIP COMPETITION
The Hong Kong Entrepreneurship Competition is hosted by the LSESU HKPASS and supported by the Hong Kong Society and HSBC since its debut three years ago. It is a start-up competition that aims to foster an awareness of entrepreneurship in Hong Kong. Participating team are required to create a business proposal for a social enterprise based on the capital constraint and the unique social and business environment in Hong Kong . A mentor is assigned to each team to give advices to their proposals.
With the help of the Hong Kong Society, the HKEC 15-16 reached out to over 20 experienced mentors and distinguished judges. We received over 40 outstanding entries from 13 UK universities, doubling the record from the previous year. The best four teams were given the opportunity to present in front of the judging panel at HSBC’s headquarter in Canary Wharf.
This year, the champion team will receive a total cash prize of £2,000 from HSBC in recognition of their achievement.
