The Hong Kong Entrepreneurship Competition is back! With participation from over 13 UK Universities last year, the competition served as a learning platform for over 136 young entrepreneurs. If you would like to present your unique business ideas before top CEOs and win a £2000 cash prize from HSBC, then this is an opportunity not to be missed!

 

Eligibility

Each team must consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 members.

Team members must be a current undergraduate or postgraduate student in the United Kingdom.

 

Task

Participants are asked to create an original business proposal based on the capital requirement and the unique business environment in Hong Kong. Special credit will be awarded to business proposals that are able to address a social issue in Hong Kong.

 

Capital Requirement

Participants must incorporate starting capital of HKD$1,000,000, and must show a small surplus within 3-‐5 years.

 

Judging Criteria

Business Idea (30%) 

Content (20%)

Quality of Research(20%)

Presentation (20%)

Applicability to HK Environment (10%)

 

Final Presentation

The four best entries be asked to present their business proposals in the Grand Final on 20th March 2014 (Friday) at HSBC Headquarters

Mentorship Scheme

Each team will also be assigned an experienced mentor from reputable organizations and businesses to aid them along the way. This will be an invaluable learning platform and experience for ambitious young entrepreneurs to understand the energetic and vibrant cosmopolitan better. (Mentor assigned by Sunday 11th January 2015)

3rd place - £200
