Discussion on New Media and Student Activism

January 18, 2015

On 29th January, in my capacity as President of LSESU HKPASS and Spokesperson for the Hong Kong Overseas Alliance, I will be joining a panel discussion on New Media and Student Activism held at the Venue, SSH, at LSE. From the Umbrella Movement to the Arab Spring, social media is transforming the landscape of protest. Chaired by the lovely Julia Slupska, I will be joined by Hannah Perry, Vice-Chair of Amnesty International UK, Bart Cammaerts, LSE associate professor and expert on Media and Activism, and James Blair, Campaigner on 38 Degrees.

I cannot claim to be anything more than a passionate bystander, but it will be truly fascinating discussing these timely issues with such distinguished guests. I hope to see you there too.
